imagePROGRAF TM-250 24-inch large format printer for technical, graphics, & CAD applications

The Canon TM series of printers are all very similar in their core design and features. Choose from the Canon TM-240/340, TM-250/350, and TM-355 models. All of these base model configurations also have multi format scanning options as well. They all feature the same pigment based inkset configuration of cyan, magenta, yellow, black and matte black with a newly formulated magenta for wider color gamut prints. The Canon TM-240 and TM-250 models are 24″ wide printers while the TM-340, TM-350, and TM-355 are 36″ wide printers.

The Canon imagePROGRAF TM-240 24″ wide printer, and TM-340 36″ wide printer are considered entry level large format technical printers meant for the lower volume user who does not print multiple times a day. They features smaller, 55ml ink tanks, and will not be as fast as the other series Canon printers. The imagePrograf TM-250, TM-350, and TM-355 printers utilize your choice of 130ml or 300ml ink cartridges and are a little bit faster than the TM-240 series printers. The larger ink tanks are not only convenient but also lower your cost per ml of ink.  Shop for all Canon TM-250 inks here.

The Canon TM-250 printer’s closest competitor with Epson would be the SureColor T3475. The fundamental difference between the Epson & Canon large format printers is the printhead technology. The Epson features piezo print heads and the Canon features thermal print heads. There are pro’s and con’s between each technology including print consistency, maintenance, longevity, and ease of replacing the printheads should they fail.

All of these Canon large format technical printers feature user-replaceable printheads for easy maintenance and high quality printing years down the road. They also include the best bundled software solution in the market including PosterArtis, Accounting Manager, Free Layout Plus and more. Canon TM series printers are also compatible with our Mirage RIP software allowing you to easily nest images, step-and-repeat, tile, and print PDFs quickly and easily.

Redefining what is possible with a large format printer, the TM Series printers offer enhanced productivity, efficiency, and usability over the previous generation of the imagePROGRAF TM & TA series printers. The imagePROGRAF TM-250 is great for low-volume users in small spaces printing posters, CAD documents, signage, and more with vivid color reproduction with newly formulated magenta ink & color calibration. The newly designed imagePROGRAF TM Series has been built for more efficiency and comfort compared to previous models with its new flat-body design, full-frontal operation, and new 4.3” adjustable user interface screen. The user interface screen displays the ink levels and sub-ink tank levels, automatic media detection indicator levels, and more setting prompts all on the home screen! Registered as EPEAT Gold—first in the imagePROGRAF TM Series— and as ENERGY STAR® certified, this series is replacing EPS packaging materials with cardboard packaging. Plus, there is a host of creative workflow software included, such as, PosterArtist (Online and Lite versions), Free Layout Plus, Direct Print Plus, Accounting Manager, and more, to help with your everyday personal and business needs!
