Epson SureColor T3770DE 24-Inch Dual-Roll CAD/Technical Printer: overview

The Epson SureColor T3770DE is the dual-roll model of the 24-inch T3770 family without the Adobe Embedded Print Engine. It suits offices that print through the Epson driver and want two media types loaded at the same time, such as bond for drawings and a coated or photo paper for posters, without paying for the embedded PDF engine.

It shares the T3770 engine: a PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead, six-color UltraChrome XD3 ink with Red, 2400 x 1200 dpi and A1/D plain-paper prints in 16 seconds on Epson’s speed test. A 4.3-inch touchscreen, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi are standard, along with over 28 IT and security features. It ships with 240 mL cartridges, needs no assembly, and weighs 261 lb at 54 x 20 x 39 inches. If you want PDF files processed in the printer itself, choose the T3770DR.

Who buys the SureColor T3770DE and what they print

Who buys it, from DTG’s sales and support work in Tampa: Epson SureColor T-series printers like the T3770DE are bought by architecture and engineering firms, franchise print-and-ship stores and quick printers, print-for-pay shops, schools and education departments, and grocery stores.

What they print on: poster paper, matte paper and bond paper. See technical and engineering media; ink, media and support available from DTG.

T3770E vs T3770DE vs T3770DR: which one?

The T3770 family has three models on one 24-inch engine. The T3770E is single-roll with no Adobe Embedded Print Engine. The T3770DE is dual-roll, also without the engine. The T3770DR is dual-roll and the only one with the Adobe Embedded Print Engine (PDF and PostScript 3). In practice: pick the E for one roll at a time, the DE if you keep two media types loaded, and the DR if you send PDF files directly to the printer and want the embedded engine to process them. Moving up in width, see the T5770DR (36 inch) and T7770D (44 inch); for a lower-cost 24-inch model see the T3475 or T3170.
