Engineered for high-production printing, the SureLab D1070 is capable of producing up to 460 4″ x 6″, 300 5″ x 7″ and 165 8″ x 10″ prints per hour for photo, event and retail environments1. Featuring the latest in professional imaging technology, this modern minilab uses a robust print engine, coupling our advanced MicroPiezo® AMC™ printhead and vivid UltraChrome® D6r-S Ink to consistently deliver crisp, vibrant pictures on a variety of paper finishes and sizes. For improved usability, this minilab features a 1.44″ LCD screen, built-in wireless connectivity and integrated output tray, all in a sleek, compact footprint.

Over the years, Epson has slowly been replacing traditional mini-lab printers (i.e. Fuji, Noritsu) due to the high quality and chemical free printing that Epson piezo inkjet technology brings. Dry-lab printing as it’s sometimes called, is extremely efficient in producing high quality photo prints. This latest generation of Epson minilab photo printers including the D1070 has a smaller footprint, offers an industrial design for reliability, and prints on roll media. You can add the ability to print on double sided sheet media with the SureLab D1070 Duplex Feeder option.
Not only is the Epson SureLab ideal for mini-lab type applications, it is also the perfect printing solution for event & portrait photo, e-commerce, photobooks and stationary. Combine the SureLab D1070 printer with our Mirage software and produce 4×6, 5×7, & 8×10 picture packages quickly and easily.
The entire operation of the printer is all handled from the front. So no need to get in the back (after connection). Replace roll paper, sheet paper (if you add the duplex option), ink cartridges, and empty the scrap box (cuts) all from the front. The SureLab D1070 uses Epson’s UltraChrome D6r-S ink set which consists of CMYK, Lc & Lm. These D1070 inks come in large capacity, 250ml ink packs so you don’t have to replace the ink as often. The D1070 printer has a maximum print width of 8.3 inches and supports 213 ft (65 m) rolls. It can produce full border free (all four sides) prints in common frame ready sizes including 3.5×5 (5″ roll media), 4×6 (6″ roll media), 5×7(5″ roll media), 8×10(8″ roll media), & 8×12 sizes(8″ roll media). You can also print long panorama prints on any size roll. The printer’s rotary cutter cuts smoothly and the built in drying and decurling module produces dry, flat prints every time. The D1070DE model includes a built-in tray and duplex feeder for double-side sheet printing. Double-sided prints can be used for photos, photo books, albums, greeting cards, calendars, menus, postcards, invitations, and more. If you’re not ready for the sheet option, you can always add it to this Epson SureLab D1070 model later.
You have three different media surfaces to choose from while printing to the Epson D1070 printer: Gloss, Luster, and Matte (future product). All three are available in three widths: 5in, 6in, and 8in. The new sheet media options are available in the same finishes and come in single or double sided versions. You can connect to the printer through the built-in ethernet port, USB3.0 or through WiFi. The SureColor D1070 comes with printer driver software compatible with both Windows and Mac based computers so printing directly out of Photoshop or Lightroom is a breeze. You can even print to the Epson D1070 printer through an App on your iPhone or Android device.
Epson has greatly improved the durability, longevity, and reliability of the SureLab series of mini-lab printers through its improved industrial printhead. With double the life of the previous generation, the printhead in the SureLab D1070 printer is rated at 400,000 4×6 prints. The Epson D1070 also features automatic head maintenance and cleaning and can even detect and fix nozzle issues in the middle of printing. This design greatly improves reliability ensuing your photo prints come out looking consistently great.
The Epson SureLab D1070 Professional Minilab Photo Printer comes included with a 1 year, whole unit exchange warranty and additional years of warranty can be purchased to extend the warranty for up to a total of 5 years. If you are considering a warranty, it is most cost effective to purchase the extended warranty at the same time that you purchase the printer as Epson offers those plans at a significantly lower price.
