Epson SureColor G6070 35″ DTFilm Printer: overview
The Epson SureColor G6070 (model SCG6070SE, Standard Edition) is a 35.4-inch DTFilm printer: it prints designs on transfer film for apparel decorating and other custom merchandise. It uses a PrecisionCore Micro TFP printhead with Nozzle Verification Technology and Variable-Sized Droplet Technology, prints at up to 1,200 x 600 dpi, and runs UltraChrome DF ink (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black and White, plus maintenance liquid) from sealed 1.6 L packs.
Media loads from the front on a single roll-to-roll path up to 35.4 inches wide (10 inches minimum), on 2- or 3-inch cores, with rolls up to 5.9 inches in diameter and 22 lb. Epson says the automated maintenance system limits upkeep to a few minutes per week, and the compact front-loading design can sit against a wall. Epson describes UltraChrome DF ink as OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT certified, CPSIA-compliant and non-toxic. The printer comes with Fiery Digital Factory – Epson Edition; ink packs are sold separately and required for setup. The G6070 is designed for use only with genuine Epson ink packs.
