The SureColor S7170 features a 4-color UltraChrome^® GS3 eco solvent ink set—delivering renowned detail and color performance. Built on the trusted platform of the previous generation, the printer’s precise media handling system is paired with a wider 1.33″ PrecisionCore^® Micro TFP^® printhead enabling faster print speeds. Nozzle Verification Technology helps to ensure stable operation, while a temperature sensor placed closer to the nozzle plate improves color consistency. A newly developed Ink Supply System replaces bulky cartridges with high-volume, 800 mL ink packs, to help reduce plastic waste and prevent frequent ink replacement. Plus, the Summa cutter effortlessly handles diverse media, delivering precisely cut graphics with unmatched ease.

How does the Epson S7170 compare to its predecessor, the Epson S40600 printer? The biggest differences include a new print head offering faster print speeds and a newly designed ink delivery system using larger 800ml ink packs. Also, this is the new entry print-cut solution (it’s faster than the prior S40600 print cut and includes a Summa 54″ cutter, not Graphtec), not the old Graphtec S40/S60/S80 bundles.
