There are 2 different versions of the new Epson SureColor F9570 dye sublimation printer platform: The Epson F9570 and this model, the Epson F9570H. This F9570H printer model is a 6-color print engine vs 4-color for the standard F9570. In addition to the CMYK colors, you will choose between one of three combinations: Light Cyan & Light Magenta, Orange & Violet, or Fluorescent Pink & Fluorescent Yellow. The light cyan/light magenta combo will improve tonality and smooth out gradations especially in mid-tones and highlights (ideal for hard substrates). The orange/violet combo will increase overall color gamut or range of color, especially in the blues, purples, reds, and orange colors. Finally, the fluorescent pink/fluorescent yellow will yield tremendous “pop” to images and prints for attention grabbing applications.
The Epson SureColor F9570 printers utilize UltraChrome DS Ink technology for wide gamut, great contrast, and durable print transfers. The Epson F9570(H) features a brand new, compact design while at the same time offering industrial level reliability and performance. It offers a 64-inch print width, bulk ink pack system holding over 3 liters of each color, a built-in drying fan, and a user replaceable printhead. We’ve been waiting for the built-in drying fan. These printers have the ability to print so fast that on-heavy ink coverage prints (darker), the ink may not have time to dry once it hits the take-up real. However, with the dryer fan that should no longer be an issue. While the F9570’s printhead is built to be reliable and print for years, Epson has added the ability for you to swap out the printhead yourself should it eventually fail down the road. The SureColor F9570H is built to print high volumes of dye sublimation transfers quickly, reliably, and at lower costs per print.
Speaking of the printhead in the Epson F9570H dye sub printer, it features Epson’s latest precision core technology based on advanced MicroTFP design. Using 12-channels, the printhead as what’s referred to as NVT – nozzle verification technology. This helps the F9570 printer automatically detect and correct irregular nozzles increasing reliability and print quality.
We know that the user of the Epson F9570 dye sub printer needs high production capability and can’t have long periods of down time. The SureColor F9570’s allows you to very quickly and easily replace the printhead should it fail, yourself. After you replace the printhead with the new one, the printer will automatically adjust and align itself.
The Epson F9570H features an adjustable, touchscreen control panel for quick and easy operation of the printer’s day to day functions. View and access all of the printer’s status and functions including ink levels, maintenance schedule, paper types, heat settings and more.
Much of the maintenance on the Epson SureColor F9570H is handled automatically by the printer. It has a built-in fabric wiper cleaning system for the printhead which keeps nozzle firing and printhead health well. On the paper feed path going into the printer, this dye sub printer has a transfer paper cleaning system via fabric pads to remove dust before entering the print zone. The little manual maintenance that is necessary for the F9570H is performed easily and quickly with the available open access zones. Manual maintenance can be performed in a few minutes per month.
Epson provides a complete, end to end solution for creating dye sublimation transfers. The printer, the ink, the software, and the paper. Their line of dye sublimation paper includes a wide range of types for different applications. Epson DS Transfer Universal is a great medium-weight paper (80gsm) meant for all around applications including hard and textile substrates. Epson DS Transfer Multi Purpose is a heavier weight paper which can take heavier ink loads for all around applications on hard and soft blanks. Epson DS Transfer Photo Paper is optimized for hard substrates and delivers very high resolution and detail, especially on Chromaluxe aluminum panels. Epson DS Transfer Adhesive Textile paper is ideal for piece/sheet transfer applications for high end and accurate, sharp transfers to fabric and textiles. Finally, Epson DS Transfer Production Paper is a lighter weight workhorse paper for roll to roll, large-volume production applications.
