DTG's Take:
The Epson P20000 is the long awaited replacement of the Epson Stylus Pro 11880. What's nice about this platform is that print makers can now have the exact same ink configuration and print engine in 44" wide with the P10000. The P20000 is fast...very fast. This printer prints very sellable prints at 600x600 and most high production canvas shops will choose this mode for producing large canvas jobs very quickly. We have built profiles for a variety of canvas types including Reflections, Epson, IJ Technologies and Fredrix. This is also a great printer for producing framed art prints on Epson's Enhanced Matte Paper and other photo papers like Premium Luster Photo paper. While not having quite as wide a gamut as the P9000, the P20000 still produces stunning prints and is ideal for the decor art market. One thing to note is that the extra black (gray) does not produce a better grayscale than the P9000 printer...its needed to help blending at the very high speeds. Bundle this printer with Mirage for increased productivity through auto nesting, step & repeat, auto gallery-wraps and more.
